An adult always watches

Stay close enough to step in. For young or new drivers, keep the parent remote in your hand so you can steer or stop the car at any moment.

Choose a safe, enclosed place

Ride only on flat, open ground away from roads, parked cars and driveways with traffic. Keep well away from ponds, pools, drains, stairs and steps.

Rooftops: stay away from the edge

Many Bangladeshi children ride on the roof. Only use a rooftop with a full, solid railing, keep the car in the middle, and block off any edge, stair opening or water tank area.

Match the car to the child

Follow the age range and weight limit on the product. Under-4s should ride with the parent remote in control. Hand over control step by step as your child learns to steer and stop.

Buckle up and dress right

Use the seat belt every time. Closed shoes are better than sandals. A helmet is a good habit, and it prepares children for bicycles later.

Teach “stop” first

Before driving anywhere, practise stopping: foot off the pedal, hands on the wheel. Agree on a word, such as “Stop!”, that means the car stops immediately.

Keep speed low

Use the low-speed setting until your child drives confidently. Kids electric cars are built for walking pace (about 3–5 km/h), and that is fast enough.

One rider, no towing

Only as many children as there are seats. No pulling other toys, bicycles or friends behind the car.

Daylight and dry weather

Ride in daylight. Do not ride in rain or on wet surfaces: wheels slip, and water can damage the motor and electronics. Store the car indoors during the monsoon.

Charge the battery safely

  • Only an adult plugs in and unplugs the charger.
  • Use the charger supplied with the car.
  • Charge in a dry, ventilated place, not next to a bed or curtains.
  • Follow the charge time in the manual (often 8–12 hours) and unplug when done.
  • Stop using a battery that is swollen, cracked or very hot, and contact the seller.

Monthly check

Once a month, check the wheels, screws, seat belt and steering. Tighten anything loose. If something seems wrong with the motor or electronics, stop using the car and ask for help.

Choosing a safe first ride-on

For younger children, a 3-wheel electric motorcycle cannot tip sideways. For cars, choose one with a parent remote, such as the kids electric car or the 4×4 electric jeep. Our guide on how to choose a kids electric car in Bangladesh explains age, power and battery.
