LCD Writing Tablet for Kids: Is It Better Than Paper?
Children in Bangladesh go through a lot of paper in the early school years: practice sheets, drawing books and writing pads. An LCD writing tablet is a reusable board that children write and draw on with a stylus, then wipe clean with one button. Is it a good replacement for paper? Here is an honest look.

What is an LCD writing tablet?
It is a thin board with a pressure-sensitive LCD surface. When a child presses with the stylus, a line appears. Press the erase button and the whole board clears. It is not a phone or a tablet computer: there are no apps, no internet and no videos.
Is it safe for children’s eyes?
The screen has no backlight. It works like paper: you see it because of the light in the room, not because the screen shines at your child. That is why it is described as emitting no blue light, unlike phones and tablets. As with any close work, normal breaks and good light in the room are still a good idea.
Benefits over paper
- Endless practice: letters, numbers and drawings can be repeated again and again without wasting paper. Our tablets are rated for 50,000+ uses.
- Lower running cost: fewer practice books and pads to buy.
- Clean: no ink, pencil shavings or chalk dust.
- Portable: light enough for a school bag or a long trip.
- Lock function: keeps a drawing on the screen so an accidental press does not erase it.
Where paper is still better
- You cannot save work. Take a photo if you want to keep a drawing.
- Most boards show one colour of line, so it is not a replacement for colouring with crayons.
- Schools still use exam papers, so children should keep practising with a pencil too.
The best approach for most families: use the tablet for daily practice and play, and paper for homework and art.
Which size should you choose?
- 8.5 inch (৳400): ages 3–7, fits easily in a school bag.
- 10 inch (৳450): ages 5–12, the most popular size for daily practice.
- 12 inch (৳600): more space for drawing, good for older children.
See all sizes on the LCD writing tablet page. Delivery is ৳150 anywhere in Bangladesh.
Pair it with audio learning
For children aged 2–6 who are learning first words, the kids learning machine speaks each word aloud in Bengali and English when a card is inserted. Many parents use the two together: hear the word, then practise writing it.
Bottom line
An LCD writing tablet does not replace school paper, but it is a low-cost, mess-free way to give children unlimited writing and drawing practice without a backlit screen. Questions? WhatsApp us at 01813-474333.
